Hamburger Steak with Onions and Gravy
Easy to make classic "meat" featuring tasty hamburger smothered with gravy and onions. Traditionally served with rice or potatoes warm white ground is a great way to dress up a pound of ground beef and you probably have all the ingredients on hand! "
INGREDIENTS:
1 pound of beef
1 egg
Fourth cup of breadcrumbs
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon seasoned salt
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
Worcestershire sauce 1 teaspoon
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 cup onion, thinly sliced
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 cup beef broth
1 tablespoon cooking sherry
1/2 teaspoon seasoned salt
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, egg, bread crumbs, pepper, salt, onion powder, garlic powder and Worcestershire sauce. Form 8 balls and flatten into patties.
Two. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Fry the patties and onion in the oil until patties are golden brown, about 4 minutes on each side. Remove the beef patties on a plate and keep warm.
3. Sprinkle flour over the onions and pour into the mold. Stir in flour with a fork, remove the meat from the bottom and is removed. Gradually stir in beef broth and sherry. Season with seasoned salt. Simmer and stir over medium-low heat for about 5 minutes, until sauce thickens. Reduce heat to low, return the sauce burgers, cover and simmer for 15 minutes.
